Space Needle Climb Raised Over $1200

We raised over $1200 for cancer research.

Base 2 Space is an event hosted by the Space Needle Foundation. It is an organized climb of the Space Needle’s 832 stairs. Thousands of fundraising individuals and teams get to escalate once a year in October.

There is a small participation fee and a minimum fundraising amount that needs to be met in order for an individual to participate.

The Ruiz-Cariker team (us – my wife, Joyce; son, Alex; his girlfriend, Sarah; and myself, Juan) raised over $1200… and had a blast doing it.

I wanted to share a short video of this adventure with you, our patrons and supporters.

Thank you for helping us support this worthy cause.

As far as the actual climb… Yes! We did have a great time.

We enjoyed the entire process: The getting up at odd hours of the early morning and driving for hours from Port Angeles to Seattle; finding parking, walking across the street; immersing ourselves in the crowds to get the packets. We love getting that token T-Shirt with the event logo. Getting in line and waiting for the start timer. All good!

I hope you get inspired to join us next year. Let me know in the comments if you want to this with us.
