Email Security Training – You Registered.
I am excited to see you took this next step toward enhancing your knowledge using your personal computer.
The training you are about to receive, was born out of my desire to help you and others like you make the best of their email.
Sometimes our emails land in the Junk folder. So either check your junk folder for “Juan Ruiz <email@example.com>” or add “firstname.lastname@example.org” to your approved senders list. That’s so you won’t miss the reminder to attend the training.
If your notification lands in the Junk Folder, the link to the webinar may not be active. To activate the link, the email must be moved to your inbox. Click and drag it, or right-click and select “move to inbox”.
I need your help to reach others
Now that we got that out of the way, I would like to talk to you about something very important and the reason for this training.
I noticed that most of the infections and scams come via email. But, there is little I can do to prevent you from getting infected or worse. I can only try to warn you ahead of time of the dangers of the misuse of email. That, unfortunately is difficult to do. How do I know who needs help with this?
Unless you raise your hand and say, “I need help” I may not be able to reach you and others in time to prevent such disasters that can cause you to spend unnecessary time and money.
Thank you for raising your hand.
One way I can reach others is by advertising. Now, I need your help reaching others that may be in your situation. You see, most people are oblivious to danger until it’s too late. What we need is awareness. That awareness can only come if someone stands in front of them yelling, “Danger, danger, Will Robinson.” (pardon my misplaced humor in the middle of a serious matter.)
One way I can reach others like you is to purchase advertising. I spend money educating others but to be truly effective this reach should be self-perpetuating. In other words, I need to be able to make enough money to pay for that advertising so that I can reach others with this message.
Here’s my ask. I have prepared a checklist of the 5 most important things you can do to protect your computer. It is a part of a larger training package.
